Wiener Staatsoper Updates COVID-19 Regulations

The Wiener Staatsoper has announced new COVD-19 regulations starting Feb. 5, 2022.

The company noted that in accordance with the announcement by the City of Vienna, there will be a relief in the admission regulation with no need to show a PCR test anymore.

However, audiences will still need to show a valid admission ticket as well Proof of 2G (vaccinated, recovered). Additionally, in Austria, the dual vaccination is only valid for six months.

The audience will also be required to show an official photo ID and will have to wear FFP2 upon entry into the theater and throughout the entire performance.

The Wiener Staatsoper is currently presenting productions of “Manon Lescaut,” “Peter Grimes,” and “Die Tote Stadt.”
