Which Operas Will Stream On ARTE Concert? Here’s The List

ARTE Concert has announced the operas that it will be showcasing as part of its on-demand streams.

The first opera programmed will be Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” from La Monnaie. That production is already available online and features Sabine Devielilhe, Gábor Bretz, Ed Lyon, and Sophie Karthäuser.

On Oct. 6, 2018, Puccini’s “Tosca” from the Finnish National Opera gets its turn with Andrea Caré, Tuomas Pursio, and Ausrinè Stundyté.

L’Opéra Comique’s production of “Orphée et Eurydice” is next, with the Oct. 18, 2018 performance getting streamed. The cast includes Marianne Crebassa, Hélène Guilmette, and Lea Desandre.

The Opéra de Lausanne’s Nov. 7 performance of “Così fan tutte” will be streamed with a cast that features Valentina Nafornita, Stéphanie Guérin, Leon Kosavic, and Joel Prieto.

“Das Floss der Medusa,” presented by on the Dutch National Opera, will be streamed on Nov. 26, 2018. The cast features Lenneke Ruiten, Bo Skovhus, and Dale Duesing.

Elina Garanca, Stéphanie d’Oustrac, Bryan Hymel, and Stéphane Degout headline the Jan. 1, 2019 stream of “Les Troyens,” live from the Opéra National de Paris.

A double bill of “L’Incantesimo” and “Pagliacci” will be featured from the Latvian National Opera & Ballet with the likes of Sergey Polakov and Irakli Kakhidze in lead roles. That performance is set for Feb. 21, 2019.

“Lessons in Love and Violence” will be presented on March 22, 2019, live from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Barbara Hannigan and Stéphane Degout headline the cast.

Mercadante’s “Il Bravo” will be presented from the Wexford Festival Opera in April 2019 and the season will close out with Verdi’s “Nabucco” in June. That performance, from Opernhaus Zürich will star Michael Volle, Benjamin Bernheim, Georg Zeppenfeld, and Catherine Naglestad.
