West Edge Opera Unveils 2021 Festival

West Edge Opera in Berkeley, California has announced its 2021 festival.

The festival opens with Janacek’s “Katya Kabanova.” Jonathan Khuner conducts a new production directed by Indra Viskontas. The opera will star soprano Carrie Hennessey, tenor Christopher Oglesby, soprano Kristin Clayton, mezzo-soprano Sarah Coit, tenor Alex Boyer, Philip Skinner, and Chad Somors.

Performance Date: July 24-August 5, 2021

The company will then present Puts and Campbell’s “Elizabeth Cree,” which will star Katherine Pracht, Keith Phares, Samuel Faustine, Ashley Dixon, Kenneth Overton, Philip Harris, Simon Barrat, Leslie Katter, and J Raymond Meyers.

Performance Date: July 25-August 7, 2021

The festival draws to a close with “Eliogabalo,” starring Randall Scotting, Derek Chester, Nikki Einfeld, Shawnette Sulker, Jean-paul Jones, Matheus Coura, Aura Veruni, and Jonathan Smuker.

Performances Dates: July 31- August 8.
