
Welsh National Opera Announces Orchestra’s 2025-26 Season & Associate Artists

First up is a concert with soprano Elizabeth Llewellyn featuring Wagner’s “Wesendonck Lieder.” Also on the program is music by Dvorák, Haydn, and Beethoven. Jiří Habart conducts.
Performance Dates: Oct. 24 & 25, 2025
Then in the winter, mezzo-soprano Justine Gringytė joins Carlo Rizzi and the ensemble in performing Berlioz’s “Les Nuits d’Été.” Also on the program is Florence Price’s “Adoration” and Bruckner’s fourth symphony.
Performance Dates: Feb. 14 & 15, 2026
Meanwhile, the Welsh National Opera also announced that baritone Owain Rowlands and bass-baritone Ross Fettes are its new Associate Artists. They will receive training support and gain experience in opera roles, concerts, and other organizational community and engagement activities. Ross will appear as the Sacristan and in “Tosca” this fall, and then cover Daland and perform in the ensemble in “The Flying Dutchman.
Rowlands will play the jailer in “Tosca” and cover Maximilian in “Candide.” He will also engage as a cover in “Blaze of Glory!” and be part of the chorus in that same work as well as “The Flying Dutchman.”
