Waterperry Opera Festival Unveils 2025 Slate

Waterperry Opera Festival in Oxfordshire has unveiled its 2025 slate.

“We are thrilled to present yet another exciting season of productions this summer. With beloved classics returning alongside bold new projects, our varied programme offers something for everyone. This year, we continue to push artistic boundaries, creating operatic experiences aimed at inspiring new audiences and the next generation while delighting our devoted supporters and longstanding enthusiasts. At Waterperry Opera Festival, we believe opera is for everyone, and we are committed to removing barriers so that all young people can enjoy and engage with the magic of classical music and opera,” said Guy Verrall-Withers, Artistic Director & CEO.

The slate opens with “Don Giovanni” in a production by John Wilkie. Charlotte Politi conducts.

Rebecca Meltzer directs “Semele.” Bertie Baigent conducts.

Performance Dates: August 8-14, 2025

“Winnie-the-Pooh’s Songbook” follows.

Performance Dates: August 9-17, 2025

Juliana Hall’s “A World Turned Upside Down: The Diary of Anne Frank” comes next. The company partners with Anne Frank Fonds for the production.

Performance Dates: August 13-17, 2025

Next up is “Last Night at the Opera” featuring the Waterperry Opera Festival Orchestra and conductor Bertie Baigent.
