Waterperry Opera Festival to Showcase ‘The Elixir of Love’
By David SalazarCharles Court Opera is set to return to Wilton’s Music Hall with a new production of Donizetti’s “The Elixir of Love.”
Running from Sept. 8 – 19, 2026, the new English language production is directed by John Wilkie, with a new adaptation and musical direction by David Eaton. The cast includes Madeline Robinson as Adina, Xavier Hetherington as Nemorino, Matthew Kellett as Dulcamara, James Geidt as Belcore, and Maria Wotherspoon as Giannetta.
The production is presented with piano accompaniment.
Charles Court Opera has received Off West End Awards for its productions of “H.M.S. Pinafore” and “Patience.” Its collaborations with Opera Holland Park have included “The Pirates of Penzance,” “H.M.S. Pinafore,” “Ruddigore,” and “The Yeomen of the Guard.”
