Watch Vienna State Opera’s Live Stream of ‘Lohengrin,’ Starring Piotr Bezcala

The Vienna State Opera will live stream Wagner’s “Lohengrin” on Jan. 19, 2020.

The opera will feature tenor Piotr Beczala as Lohegrin, a role that he has made his own over the past few years. He will be joined by Ain Anger, Cornelia Beskow, Egils Silins, Linda Watson, and Boaz Daniels.

Valery Gergiev will conduct the opera in a production by Andreas Homoki.

The stream kicks off at 5 p.m. local time. That’s around 11 a.m. EDT and 8 a.m. PST for the start time.

Per the official website, tickets start at 16 euros (approximately $16 USD) and can be purchased right off the Vienna State Opera’s streaming website. There are options for monthly subscriptions to future performances on the service depending on users’ preference to experience opera from the comfort of their homes.

Next up on the slate of live streams will be “Salome,” “Fidelio,” “Rusalka,” “Otello,” and “Elektra.”
