Watch Teatro alla Scala’s Performance at the Olympics

The Teatro alla Scala is set to be included in the opening ceremony of the Olympics on Feb. 2, 2026.

The company announced that the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra will be conducted by Music Director Riccardo Chailly and will feature baritone Luca Salsi.

The event is one of the many featured for the 2026 Winter Olympics which are set to open on Feb. 6 and will see such performers as Cecilia Bartoli, pop star Mariah Carey, tenor Andrea Bocelli, pop singer Laura Pausini, and pianist Lang Lang.

The Teatro alla Scala the historic opera house in Milan, Italy which was inaugurated on August 3, 1778 and was originally known as il Nuovo Regio Ducale Teatro alla Scala.
