The Moscow Academic Music Theater is prepping to announce its 2018-19 season. In anticipation of that event, the company has put together a behind-the-scenes video to get people excited.

The video, set to the overture of Mozart’s “Don Giovanni,” showcases a plethora of performers and workers with the company and even features a number of distinguished opera stars, including Hibla Gerzmava, Nadzhimiddin Mavlyanov, Dmitry Ulyanov, Dmitry Zuev, Daria Terekhova, Chingiz Ayusheev, Nikolay Yerokhin, Roman Ulybin, and Leonid Zemnenko, among others.

Per a press release, over 446 staff members at the Moscow Academic Music Theater were involved in the video, which was in production for four months and was directed by Alexandr Chernousov.

The 2018-19 season is the company’s centennial celebration. During the 2017-18 season, the company staged such works as “Jenufa,” “Betrothal in a Monastery,” “Il Trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno,” and “Macbeth.”
