Watch Live Stream of Royal Opera House’s ‘Le Nozze Di Figaro’ With Simon Keenlyside Via OperaVision

OperaVision will present a live stream of “Le Nozze di Figaro” from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden on July 9, 2019.

The stream kicks off at 8 p.m. local time. That’s around 3 p.m. EDT and 12 p.m. PST for the start time. The live stream will be available for one month on the platform.

The Mozart masterpiece will feature Christian Gerhaher as Figaro with Joélle Harvey as his beloved Susanna. Simon Keenlyside will be the Count Almaviva while Julia Kleiter will be Countess Almaviva. Countertenor Kangmin Justin Kim will sing Cherubino while Maurizio Muraro will be Bartolo. Diana Montague rounds out the cast as Marcellina.

John Eliot Gardiner will direct the famed production by Sir David McVicar.

The streaming service is free through OperaVision, which, per its official website, is a project “supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program, OperaVision builds on the success of The Opera Platform, with more contributing opera companies from more countries, under the editorial supervision of Opera Europa, the European association of opera companies and festivals.
