On Sunday, Jan. 19, 2020, the Houston Grand Opera will present “Giving Voice,” a concert presented by tenor Lawrence Brownlee. 

The performance will be live streamed via YouTube and is set to feature J’Nai Bridges, Nicole Heaston, Reginald Smith Jr., and Russell Thomas. Kevin Miller will be at the piano. 

The concert was developed by Brownlee in association with the Houston Grand Opera and will present a program that ranges from opera classics, to spirituals, gospel, and standards. 

Per the official website, audience members will also get a chance to meet artists firsthand following the performance.

Brownlee is set to take on “La Favorite” with the company this coming week. Meanwhile, Thomas and Smith Jr. are both set to star in the Houston Grand Opera’s upcoming run of “Aida.” Heaston will be in Hamburg to perform “Le Nozze di Figaro” this March and Bridges will take on “Samson et Dalila” at the Washington National Opera.
