The Icelandic Opera’s production of “La Traviata” will get a live stream via OperaVision on May 24, 2019.

The stream kicks off at 7 p.m. local time. That’s around 1 p.m. EDT and 10 a.m. PST for the start time. It will be available for repeat viewings on Opera Vision until Nov. 23, 2019.

The opera stars Herdís Anna Jónasdóttir in the title role with Elmar Gilbertsson a Alfredo and Hrólfur Saemundsson as Giorgio Germont. Bjarni Frímann Bjarnason conducts.

The streaming service is free through OperaVision, which, per its official website, is a project “supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program, OperaVision builds on the success of The Opera Platform, with more contributing opera companies from more countries, under the editorial supervision of Opera Europa, the European association of opera companies and festivals. OperaVision brings together 30 partners from 18 countries and invites you to travel and discover the diversity of opera from wherever you want, whenever you want.”

Next up on the slate of live streams will be “Roxy und ihr Wunderteam” from Komische Oper Berlin.
