On March 26, 2021, Washington Performing Arts will present a recital by acclaimed mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges, as part of their “Home Delivery Plus” series.

Available through April 1, Bridges will be accompanied by pianist Lester Green for a specially-crafted program, featuring composers such as Richard Danielpour, Florence Price, Shawn Okpebholo, Carlos Simon, Margaret Bonds, along with classic works from Brahms and Berg.

There will also be multidisciplinary collaborations and conversations which focus on the themes of community and overcoming.

The recital follows a video interview with Wynton Marsalis which took place on March 12. “The Arts, Undistanced: Online Artist Conversations Beyond Boundaries,” is hosted by Marsalis as he and guest artists explore issues of society, culture, and the changing world of the arts. Videos are available on Facebook, YouTube, and Washington Performing Arts’ Home Delivery Plus platform.
