Vuvu Mpofu, Zachary Nelson & Michael Chioldi Lead Pittsburgh Opera’s 2025-26 Season

Pittsburgh Opera has announced its 2025-26 season.

Puccini’s “La Bohème” will open the season and will star Zachary Nelson, Daniel O’Hearn, Matthew Soibelman, Erik Nordstrom, Kevin Glavin, and Vuvu Mpofu. Antony Walker conducts the production by Kristine McIntyre.

Performance Dates: Oct. 18-26, 2025

Gregory Spears and Greg Pierce’s “Fellow Travelers” will star Erik Nordstrom, Logan Wagner, Shannon Crowley, Matthew Soibelman, and Yazid Gray. Antony Walker conducts the production by Brian Staufenbiel.

Performance Dates: Nov. 14-16, 2025

Britten’s “Curlew River” will star Erik Nordstrom, Logan Wagner, Yazid Gray, and Matthew Soibelman. Antony Walker conducts the production by Dana Kinney.

Performance Dates: Jan. 24-Feb. 1, 2026

Laura Kaminsky and Crystal Manich’s “Time to Act” will be conducted by Michael Sakir. The production by Amy Hutchison will include Audrey Welsh, Erik Nordstrom, Shannon Crowley, Logan Wagner, and Yazid Gray.

Performance Dates: Feb. 28-March 8, 2026

Verdi’s “Falstaff” closes the season with Michael Chioldi, Blake Denson, Danielle Pastin, Natasha Te Rupe Wilson, Audrey Welsh, Marianne Cornetti, Logan Wagner, Joseph Frank, Michael Pegher, and Matthew Soibelman. Antony Walker conducts the production by Crystal Manich.

Performance Dates: April 28-May 3, 2026
