Voices of Silicon Valley Readies to Release Archival Album on Orpheus Classical

By Logan Martell

Voices of Silicon Valley has announced the cancellation of its intended concert at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, due to the ongoing coronavirus. Instead, the choral ensemble will soon be releasing an album of past recordings through the Orpheus Classical label.

In its commitment towards the arts in this difficult time, the ensemble has also recently produced and released “Virtual Choir Project 2020,” described as an online festival that features new and recorded works that explore current social issues.

Voices of Silicon Valley will be holding a series of open Zoom sessions where it will present their upcoming album, as well as share insights and discuss the process behind it. Since its founding in 2014, the ensemble helps bring choral music to the Silicon Valley area, as well as new audiences through its use of emerging technology and distribution platforms. The company also seeks to engage and educate the community on matters of social issues through the creation of new works by local composers and artists.
