Vittorio Prato, Andrea Mastroni & Sonia Prina Headline Teatro Coccia’s 2021-22 Fall Season

The Teatro Coccia in Novara, Italy has announced its 2021-22 fall season.

The season opens with Mini Opere. The first work that will be presented is “Boccacio Delivery Ovvero la Vendetta di Cisti Fornaio” by Alberto Cara. The production will be directed by Salvatore Sito and conducted by Carlo Emilio Tortarolo. The opera will star Federica Vinci and Andrea Tabili. The second work will be “La Zuppa di Sasso” by Federico Biscione. Carlo Emilio Tortarolo conducts the production in a production by Stefano Ferrara. Miryam Marcone, Caterina Dellaere, and Mauro Secci star.

Margherita Colombo conducts a gala with Cantanti Accademia AMO.

Performance Date: Oct. 7, 2021

Francesca Bocca-Aldaqre’s “Le Ore delle Spose” will be directed by Deda Cristina Colonna with Laura Catrani, Carolina Rapillo, and Giuditta Pascucci.

Performance Dates: Oct. 8 & 9, 2021

Andrea Mastroni and Klára Kolonitz star in Bartók’s “Bluebeard’s Castle.” Deda Cristina Colonna directs the production with Marco Alibrando conducting.

Performance Dates: Oct. 23 & 24, 2021

Bruno Moretti and Rosa Mogliasso’s “I Viaggi di Gulliver” will be conducted by Andreas Gies and directed by Controluce Teatro d’Ombre. The production will star Federico Cavarzan, Giulia Bolcato, and Leonardo Pesucci.

Performance Dates: Nov. 7 & 8, 2021

Cristian Carrara’s “Rapimenti d’Amore” will be conducted by Matteo Beltrami in a new production by Andrea Chiodi. The production will star Sonia Prina, Vittorio Prato, Salvatore Grigoli, Valerio Borgioni, Ettore Agati, Antonio De Gobbi, Mario Tathouh, and Veronica Niccolini.

Performance Dates: Nov. 20 & 21, 2021

“Un Divorato  Cuore” with music by Joe Schittino, Cristiano Serino, Marco Taralli and verses by Francesca Bocca, Fabio Ceresa, and Davide Rondoni will be directed by Gioele Dix. Matteo Beltrami conducts.

Performance Dates: Dec. 1 & 2, 2021

Pauline Viardot’s “Cendrillon” will be performed in a production by Teresa Gargano and conducted by Takahiro Maruyama. The production will star Pasquale Greco, Eriko Hashimoto, Simona Ruisi, Ramezani Meiami Rakhsha, Vinci Federica, Francesco Scalas, and  Dario Sebastiano Pometti

Performance Dates: Dec. 12 & 13, 2021

The final production of the fall season will be Gioachino Rossini’s “La Cambiale di Matrimonio.” The production will star students from the RossiniLab and European Opera Academy. Mirca Rosciani conducts the Orchestra del Teatro Coccia in a new semi-staged production.
