The company said that in response to the ongoing government shutdown, it is extending a special offer of complimentary tickets to its upcoming production of “Cinderella” for individuals directly affected by the closure.

Eligible patrons will have the opportunity to reserve up to two free tickets per person to attend performances at the Harrison Opera House on Nov. 7 & 9 and Dominion Energy Center on Nov. 14 & 16.

In a statement, Adam Turner, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of Virginia Opera, said,  Our community has always been at the heart of what we do. We hope this gesture provides a small respite and a joyful evening at the theater for those navigating uncertainty during the shutdown.”

Tickets will be able to be reserved via phone or in person at the Virginia Opera Box Office.
