The Virginia Opera has announced a revamped 2021 Spring season.

The Spring season will showcase a masterclass series with Denyce Graves as well as “Cabaret with Us.” The Virginia Opera also announced a production of Bernstein’s “Trouble in Tahiti” and a Spring Gala. Finally, the company also unveiled two virtual opera productions including “Pinocchio” and The Princess and the Pea.”

Earlier in December, the Virginia Opera canceled its originally planned 2020-21 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic and promised to replace it with an alternative program. The company altered its fall season, renaming it “Stayin’ Alive,” and featured outdoor concerts and virtual experiences.

The company is set to announce more details in the coming weeks as it gears up for a return to performing,
