By Dejan Vukosavljevic

Soprano Aleksandra Jovanović will no longer be appearing in the two remaining performances of “The Magic Flute” at the Wiener Staatsoper scheduled for December 13 and December 15, according to the company’s official website.

She will be replaced by soprano Federica Guida, making her Wiener Staatsoper House role debut. Guida has recently performed “Mettici il Quore” at the Teatro Coccia, Novara, Mozart’s opera “Bastiano e Bastiana” and “L’oca del Cairo” at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo.
Guida will join a cast that includes Jongmin Park, Andreas Schager, Andrea Carroll, and Rafael Fingerlos. The opera will be conducted by James Conlon in a production by Moshe Leiser and Patrice Caurier.
Jovanović is slated to perform in “L’Enfant et les Sortilèges” at the Opéra National de Paris in January 2020.
