Vienna State Opera 2019 Live Stream: Anna Smirnova Stars As ‘Turandot’

On April 16, 2019, audiences around the world will get a chance to see Puccini’s “Turandot” live streamed from the Vienna State Opera.

The famed opera will feature Anna Smirnova in the title role with Alfred Kim as Calaf and Dinara Alieva as the tragic Liù.

The opera, which is directed by Marco Arturo Marelli will be conducted by Domingo Hindoyan.

The stream kicks off at 7:30 p.m. local time and is slated to run until around 10 p.m. That’s around 1:30 p.m. EDT and 10:30 a.m. PST for the start time.

Per the official website, tickets start at 14 euros (approximately $16 USD) and can be purchased right off the Vienna State Opera’s streaming website. There are options for monthly subscriptions to future performances on the service depending on users’ preference to experience opera from the comfort of their homes.

Next up on the slate of live streams will be “Parsifal,” “Fidelio,” and “Rigoletto.”
