Victorian Opera has announced the cast for its upcoming production of “The Who’s Tommy.”

The company revealed that the role of Pete Townshend will be played by Mat Verevis with other cast members in leading roles including Amy Lehpamer, Chris Ryan, Paul Capsis, Kanen Breen, and Vincent Hooper.

The ensemble cast is comprised of Sheridan Anderson, Jared Bryan, Monique Dawes, Mark Doggett, Darcey Eagle, Courtney Glass, Matt Hamilton, David Hammond, Savannah Lind, Louis Lucente, John O’Hara, Matthew Predny, Emma Russell, Dean Schulz, David Sirianni, Darren Tyler, Jessica Vellucci, and Stephanie Wall.

The production for the musical / rock-opera will be directed by Roger Hodgman with Laura Tipoki as the musical director.

“The Who’s Tommy” kicks off its run on August 14 at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre. It runs through August 22, 2020.
