Vicenza in Lirica Festival Announces 2022 Season

Vicenza in Lirica Festival celebrates its first ten years of activity with a program of events between April and September.

The artistic director of the Festival, Andrea Castello has announced the first titles and collaborations for 2022.

The Festival will begin with two Monteverdi masterpieces: “Combattimento di Tancredi e Clorinda” and “Ballo delle ingrate” in collaboration with Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome.

Performance Date: June 17, 2022

There will be an event that focuses on the benefit concert in favour of Assi Gulliver – Associazione Sindrome di Sotos Italia performed by Coro e Orchestra di Vicenza.

Performance Date: June 18, 2022

The first part of the festival will end in the Garden of Teatro Olimpico with a concert dedicated to the “Fête de la Musique” (Make Music Day).

Performance Date: June 21, 2022

Mozart’s “Messa in C Minor K427” will be performed by the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto.

Performance Date: Sept. 3, 2022

The “G. Verdi” Conservatory of Milan will perform the concert “Actus Tragicus: la cantata barocca”.

Performance Dates: Sept. 4, 2022

There will also be a musical performance of high cultural and moral value centred on the themes of the opera Don Giovanni and produced by Liceo Guarino Veronese di San Bonifacio entitled “Scambiamoci di vista: da Plauto a Mozart passando per Shakespeare.”

Performance Date: Sept. 7, 2022

The company will present Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” with winners of Tullio Serafin Competition.

Performance Dates: Sept. 8 & 10, 2022
