The Teatro Lirico di Cagliari has announced its 2024 season.
Fabio Ceresa directs a new production of Boito’s “Nerone” with a cast that includes Amadi Lagha, Konstantin Kipiani, Franco Vassallo, Abramo Rosalen, Valentina Boi, Rachele Stanisci, Deniz Uzun, Mariangela Marini, Roberto Frontali, Leon Kim, Dongho Kim, and Alessandro Abis. Francesco Cilluffo conducts.
Performance Dates: Feb. 9-18, 2024
Veronika Dzhioeva, Murat Karahan, Dalibor Jenis, and Ivan Inverardi star in Puccini’s “Tosca” with Beatrice Venezi conducting.
Performance Dates: March 15-24, 2024
Teresa Iervolino and Anna-Doris Capitelli headin Rossini’s “L’Italiana in Algeri” with Maharram Huseynov, Bogdan Mihai, Chuan Wang, Giulio Mastrototaro, and Vincenzo Taormina. Jan Latham-Koenig conducts.
Performance Dates: May 3-12, 2024
Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” is set to star Marta Mari in the title role alongside Carlo Ventre, Ragaa Eldin, Devid Cecconi, Agostina Smimmero, and Emilia Rukavina. Gianluca Martinenghi conducts.
