Verdi Devotee August Ventura to Present ‘There’s Something About Verdi’ in NYC

Verdi devotee August Ventura will present “There’s Something About Verdi” at The Coffee Houst Club in New York City on April 9, 2025 from 6 – 7:30 p.m. local time.

The multi-media presentation will honor the famed composer and will feature the presentation of “In the Mouth of the World,” a documentary that showcases long-lost footage of major opera singers, including Renato Cioni, Piero Cappuccilli and Margherita Roberti, performing and commenting on “Luisa Miller.”

Ventura will also offer words on how Verdi speaks to modern times and also shines a spotlight on the legacy of Parma.

Ventura has presented his devotion to Verdi at such major venues as The American Foundation for Savoy Orders, The United Nations, at prestigious venues such as The Century Association, The Lotos Club, The National Arts Club, NYU’s Casa Italiana and The Columbus Citizens’ Foundation. He has also provided content for numerous museums, opera houses, colleges, universities, and film societies.
