The Amigos de la Ópera de A Coruña has announced its 2026 season celebrating 74 years.

The season opens with Janacek’s “Jenůfa,” which will star Vanessa Goikoetxea, Eliska Weissová, Alejandro Roy, Joan Lainez, Marianne Cornetti, Gabriel Alonso, Javier Agudo, Andrea Varela, Belén Vaquero, and Ruth González.

Alfons Flores and Ana Garay will be responsible for the staging while José Miguel Pérez-Sierra will conduct.

Performance Dates: Sept. 17 & 19, 2026

The season will continue the 10th edition of “curso de interpretación vocal,” in which young artists selected by Carlos Álvarez tendrán will work to better their skills. One of the selected singers will perform a recital.

Dates: Sept. 28-Oct. 2, 2026

The season will also include Ópera para niños.

Performance Dates: Oct. 20 & 21, 2026

Puccini’s “Tosca” will star Miren Urbieta-Vega alongside Ragga Eldin and Carlos Álvarez. Paul- Êmilie Fourny conducts.

Performance Dates: Oct. 22 & 24, 2026

The season will conclude with free activities like exclusive recitals. Performers include Carmen Larios, Chiara Salerno, and Nerea González. Pianist Gabriel López accompanies.
