Vanessa Becerra, Cecilia Duarte & Andrew Stenson Lead Minnesota Opera’s 2023-24 Season

The Minnesota Opera has announced its 2023-24 season featuring four productions.

David Radamés Toro directs “Cruzar la Cara de la Luna” with a cast that includes Octavio Moreno, Cecilia Duarte, Vanessa Alonzo, Efraín Solís, Zulimar López-Hernández, Efraín Corralejo, and Daniel Montenegro.

Performance Dates: Nov. 4–12, 2023

Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore” is set to star Vanessa Becerra, Andrew Stenson, Joseph Lattanzi and Stefano de Peppo. Daniel Ellis directs.

Performance Dates: Jan. 27–Feb. 4, 2024

Puccini’s “La Bohème” will star Won Whi Choi and Christian Sanders alternating as Rodolfo; Melinda Whittington and Symone Harcum sharing the role of Mimì; Joo Won Kang and Jeremiah Sanders as Marcello; and Keely Futterer as Musetta. Benjamin Sieverding, Charles H. Eaton, Andrew Wilkowske, and Efraín Corralejo round out the cast.

Performance Dates: May 4–12, 2024

Leonard Bernstein’s “Trouble in Tahiti” and Christopher Weiss and John de los Santos’ “Service Provider” will be performed as part of a double bill. Zoie Reams and Charles H. Eaton star in Bernstein’s work while Zoie Reams, Jeremiah Sanders, Keely Futterer, and Efraín Corralejo star in De Los Santos’ work. Kyle Weiler directs.
