Valerio Borgioni & Francesca Sassu Lead Teatro Lirico di Cagliari’s Fall 2021-22 Season

The Teatro Lirico di Cagliari has announced its fall 2021-22 season.

Here are the vocal and operatic performances of the year.

Luciano Acocella conduct the Orchestra and chorus of the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari in music by Helios, Brahms, and Schumann.

Performance Dates: Oct. 1 & 2, 2021

Gluck’s “Orfeo ed Euridice” is set to star Victória Pitts and Caterina Dellaere as Orfeo, Theodora Raftis and Francesca Sassu as Euridice, and Silvia Frigato and Giulia Della Peruta as Amore. George Petrou conducts the production by Nicola Berloffa.

Performance Dates: Nov. 12-20, 2021

Diego Dini Ciacci and Lucilla Galeazzi team upfor a program of music by Sergio Rendine, Beethoven, Mendelssohn.

Performance Dates: Nov. 26 & 27, 2021

Donizetti’s “La fille du régiment” is set to star Hasmik Torosyan and Laura Esposito in the title role, Valerio Borgioni as Tonio, and Federico Longhi and Jan Antem as Suplice. Alessio Pizzech directs the new production with Frédéric Chaslin conducting.

Performance Dates: Dec. 16-23, 2021
