Acclaimed Bass-baritone Valeriano Lanchas is set to perform Winterreise” at the Teatro Mayor on May 21, 2019.

The singer will be joined by pianist Alejandro Rocha and there will be a pre-concert lecture about the Schubert song cycle, which is one of the most famous in the repertoire.

Lanchas is one of Colombia’s best-known singers, who was the first Colombian singer to perform at the Metropolitan Opera and has performed at the Teatro Real, Gran Teatre del Liceu, Teatro de La Maestranza, Palm Beach Opera, and Teatro de la Zarzuela.

He recently performed in “Falstaff” at the Teatro Real and is set to perform in “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” at the Teatro Mayor with Pablo Martínez, and Paola Leguizamón.
