The UAE National Orchestra and Choir will give the world premiere of “Lightning, Thunder & Longing” by Emirati composer Fayez Al Saeed on Sept. 18 at The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi and Sept. 20 at Dubai Opera.

The program, “To This Land, We Belong,” also includes the premieres of “The Founder’s Journey” by Khalid Nassir and “Homeland Melodies” by Ali Kano.

The showcase will be conducted by Ahmed Farag.

The UAE National Orchestra is the country’s official national orchestra, established under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It is chaired by Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi and led by Managing Director Sheikha Alia bint Khalid Al Qassimi.
