Trinity Church Wall Street Announces 2021-22 Season

Trinity Church Wall Street has announced its 2021-22 season.

First up will be the “Vigil Psalms: A Service of Prayer, Readings & Music,” led by Julian Wachner and featuring the Choir of Trinity Wall Street.

Performance Date: Sept. 10, 2021

A Time and Space for Remember and Healing” will honor the victims of 9/11. Among the performers will be mezzo-soprano Melissa Attebury, baritone Thomas McCargar, and pianist Farrah Dupoux, among many others. Julian Wachner leads the performance.

Performance Date: Sept. 11, 2021

Wachner will lead the Choir of Trinity Wall Street in a “Holy Eucharist” that will feature Fauré’s “Requiem.”

Performance Date: Sept. 12, 2021

Compline by Candlelight: Anthems for Peace and Hope” will feature Wachner leading the Choir of Trinity Wall Street.

Performance Date: Sept. 12, 2021

The Choir of Trinity Wall Street will perform a “Choral Meditation” in partnership with Amplify Female Composers. Julian Wachner and Janet Yieh conduct.

Performance Date: Sept. 29 & Oct. 27, 2021

Melissa Attebury conducts the Trinity Youth Chorus in Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols.”

Performance Date: Dec. 19, 2021

The organization will also present Emma O’Halloran’s “Trade” as part of the Prototype Festival. The showcase will be presented in collaboration with Beth Morrison Proejcts, HERE, and NOVUS NY. Julian Wachner conducts.

Performance Date: Jan. 9-17, 2022

The Choir of Trinity Wall Street joins forces with Downtown Voices for a concert conducted by Stephen Sands.

Performance Date: Jan. 30, 2022

The Choir of Trinity Wall Street and NOVUS NY will perform Craig Hella Johnson’s “Considering Matthew Shepard” in a production staged by Elliott Forest and Rodney Caspers.

Performance Date: Feb. 24 – March 1, 2022

Melissa Attebury will lead the Trinity Youth Chorus in a Winter Concert.

Performance Date: March 13, 2022

Tenor Thomas Cooley and bass Jonathan Woody will headline a performance of “St. Matthew’s Passion.” They will perform alongside The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, Trinity Youth Chorus, The Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys, Trinity Baroque Orchestra, and New York Baroque Inc, all under the musical direction of Julian Wachner.

Performance Date: March 29 & 31, 2022

Stephen Sands leads the Downtown Voices, The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, and NOVUS NY in a performance of Wadsworth’s “Spire and Shadow.”

Performance Date: April 24, 2022

The Choir of Trinity Wall Street and Bang on a Can All-Stars, conducted by Julian Wachner, will perform Julia Wolfe’s “Anthracite Fields.”

Performance Date: May 19, 2022

Melissa Attebury will lead the Trinity Youth Chorus in a Spring Concert.

Performance Date: May 22, 2022

The seasons raws to a close with  performance of Britten’s War Requiem featuring The Choir of Trinity Wall Street, Downtown Voices, Trinity Youth Chorus, and NOVUS NY, under the musical direction of Julian Wachner.

Performance Date: June 12, 2022
