Tri-Cities Opera in Binghamton, New York, is set to host the US Army Field Band’s production of “The Falling and The Rising” on Sept. 16.

The production, which will be performed at the Broome County Forum Theatre, will continue Tri-Cities Opera’s commitment to engage programming that honors Veterans, service members, and their families.

“The Fall and the Rising” is an 80-minute opera in English that was created from interviews with active-duty soldiers, wounded warriors, and veterans and centers around a strong female hero, who is severely wounded by a roadside IED, just hours after sending a video message home on the eve of her daughter’s thirteenth birthday.

Full details about the performance will be announced at a news conference on August 17.
