Tri-Cities Opera & Syracuse Opera Team Up for ‘Cenerentola’

By David Salazar

Tri-Cities Opera and Syracuse Opera are joining forces to present a new production of Rossini’s “La Cenerentola” starting on April 10, 2022.

The showcase, which will take place at the Forum Theatre in Binghamton, will then shift over to Syracuse’s Oncenter’s Crouse Hinds on May 1, 2022.

“We as companies have been fighting for survival for so long and now together we are on the path to a wonderful sustainable future,” said Christian Capocaccia, General & Artistic Director of Syracuse Opera, in an official press statement. “Joining forces with Tri-Cities Opera, we will again be able to present to you opera as it was meant to be – with beautiful sets and costumes, gorgeous singing, and a full orchestra. Art doesn’t get much more exciting than this.”

This is the latest collaboration that Tri-Cities has undertaken following similar team-ups with such companies Opera Birmingham, Opera Columbus, More than Musical, Annapolis Opera, Opera Omaha, and Out-of-the-Box Opera.
