‘Tosca’ with Kristine Opolais to be Broadcast on ORF

The Theater an der Wien’s production of Puccini’s “Tosca” is set to be broadcast on ORF2 on Jan 28, 2022.

The new production by Martin Kušej is currently starring Kristine Opolais in the title role, Jonathan Tetelman as Cavaradossi, and Gábor Bretz as Scarpia. Marc Albrecht conducts the production.

Myfidelio will also stream the opera at 21:20 European time.

Opolais is a well-known interpreter of Puccini who has sung the role of Tosca at the Royal Opera House, Baden Baden Festival, and the Wiener Staatsoper. Tetelamn recently performed the role of Cavaradossi at the Opera de Lille and Gran Teatre del Liceu. Meanwhile, Bretz has sung the role of Scarpia at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna.

“Tosca” is set to run through Jan. 30 and is currently being performed with no intermission.
