Toronto Symphony Orchestra Announces 2022-23 Season

The Toronto Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2022-23 season featuring world stars and many masterpieces. The season will celebrate 100 Years of Artistic Achievement and Community Impact.

For the purposes of this article, we will focus on vocal performances.

Michael Francis conducts Toronto Mendelssohn Choir in Mozart’s Requiem and a program that also includes music by Beethoven.

Performance Dates: Jan. 11–14, 2023

Alexander Shelley conducts Joshua Hopkins and the National Arts Centre Orchestra in music by Barbara Assiginaak, Jake Heggie, and Brahms.

Performance Date: Feb. 11, 2023

Gustavo Gimeno conducts Händel’s “Messiah.” 

Performance Date: Dec. 17–21, 2022

The season will also feature soloists Yo-Yo Ma, Yuja Wang, Yefim Bronfman, Louis Lortie, James Ehnes, Leila Josefowicz, and Nicola Benedetti.
