Toradze Foundation Launches Festival in Tbilisi

The Toradze Foundation has launched a festival in Tbilisi to celebrate Georgian culture.

The Foundation was founded by Nino Toradze in honor of her father, composer David Toradze, and her brother David Toradze, who passed away last year. The festival will take place every year in May and June in Georgia’s capital.

Here is a look at the vocal performances for this first edition.

There will be an evening of Georgian Folk Song featuring the Basiani Ensemble led by Giorgi Donadze.

Performance Date: June 2, 2023

Soprano Marisol Montalvo will perform music by Mozart and Berg in a concert also featuring works by Beethoven and Mika Mdinaradze.

Performance Date: June 4, 2023

There will be a program of music by David Toradze featuring the Tbilisi Women’s Choir, the Georgian Six, and the Trinity Cathedral Choir, among others.
