Toledo Opera is set to present Donizetti’s “The Elixir of Love”  for the first time since 1985.

The opera, which is set to be performed on Feb. 13 and 15, 2026 at the Valentine Theatre will be conducted J. Ernest Green.

Ian Silverman directs the production which will star David Walton, Marnie Breckenridge, and Jason Budd. The cast is rounded out by former Toledo Opera Resident Artist Robbie Raso and Toledo Opera Resident Artist Sarah Rachel Bacani.

In a statement Toledo Opera Artistic Director, Kevin Bylsma, said, “With ‘The Elixir of Love,’ audiences can expect the kind of artistry and vocal brilliance you would find at a company five times our size. Our singers – from our extraordinary chorus, to our incredible Resident Artists, to our renowned principals – bring unmatched skill, charm, and passion to every note, making this a truly unforgettable operatic experience.”

Before the performances the company will have a Pre-Opera Talk in the Grand Lobby of the Valentine Theatre.
