Toledo Opera has announced the return of its outdoors series.

Starting on Sept. 7, 2022 and running through Sept. 21, 2022 for a total of five performances (Wednesdays and Saturdays), the company will showcase the fifth installment of the popular series at the Toledo Botanical Garden and Toledo Farmer’s Market.

The program will feature soprano Sara Mortensen, mezzo Imara Miles, tenor Brendan J. Boyle, baritone Matthew Payne, and pianist Steven Naylor. These Toledo Resident Artists will take on a wide range of popular opera, musical theatre, and American classics.

“This Opera Outdoors series is the fifth installation of the program since its inception in September 2020, in response to the pandemic,” said Suzanne Rorick, Executive Director of the Toledo Opera, in an official press statement. “Since then, it has become part of our core programming, and we are honored to work alongside our fantastic community partners to share engaging and accessible live music from the vocal repertoire with everyone.”
