Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck Announces 2021-22 Season

For the purposes of this article, we will only focus on vocal and operatic performances.
The season with Péter Eötvös’s “Der goldene Drache” with Hansjörg Sofka conducting a production by Björn Reinke.
Performance Dates: Oct. 16-Dec. 17, 2021
Piazzolla’s “Maria de Buenos Aires” will be directed and choreographed by Enrique Gasa Valga and conducted by Tommaso Turchetta.

Performance Dates: Oct. 23, 2021-Feb. 9, 2022
Lukas Beikircher conducts Massenet’s “Werther“ with Thaddeus Strassberger directing.
Performance Dates: Dec. 4, 2021-March 10, 2022
Kerem Hasan conducts Rossini’s comic masterpiece “L’Italiana in Algeri.” Anette Leistenschneider directs the production.
Performance Dates: Dec. 19, 2021-April 7, 2022
“Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari” by Wolfgang Sréter will be directed by Johannes Reitmeier and conducted by Hansjörg Sofka.
Performance Dates: Feb. 5-April 3, 2022
Acclaimed soprano Angela Denoke directs a new production of Strauss’ “Salome” with Lukas Beikircher conducting.
Performance Dates: Feb. 12-May 7, 2022
Hansjörg Sofka conducts Sondheim’s “Sweeney Todd” with Dale Albright directing.
Performance Dates: April 30-July 9, 2022
Mieczysław Weinberg’s “The Passenger” will be conducted by Tommaso Turchetta and directed by Johannes Reitmeier.
Performance Dates: May 21-July 10, 2022
Lukas Beikircher conducts a revival of Puccini’s “Tosca“ to conclude the season.
