
Tiroler Festspiele Erl Announces Cast Changes for Summer Season

The company said that “It is with great regret that Sinéad Campbell Wallace has had to withdraw from the Opening Concert and from ‘Der fliegende Holländer’ for health reasons.
As a result, at the Opening Concert on July 2, Lidia Fridman will perform the soprano part in the Three Fragments from “Wozzeck,” making her highly anticipated Erl debut. Meanwhile, the role of Senta in Wagner’s “Der fliegende Holländer” will be sung by Nina Bezu.
The company also announced a cast change in “Suor Angelica.” Zoe Hippius will take over the role of the First Beggar Woman from Marianna Mappa, who has also had to withdraw from the production for health reasons.
The Tiroler Festspiele Erl will open on July 2 and run through July 26.
