
Theater Münster Extends Music Director’s Contract
By Francisco SalazarThe Theater Münster ha extended General Music Director Golo Berg’s contract five years.
Berg will now remain with the company until 2031-32 season.
Berg obtained his musical formation in his hometown with the renowned conductor-pedagogue Prof. Gunter Kahlert and was a finalist of the “Arturo Toscanini” Conducting Competition in Parma/Italy. He has been music director and principal conductor at the Theater Hof, respectively to the Symphony Orchestra of the City of Hof and chief conductor at the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau. He has also served as Music Director at the Theater Vorpommern.
This season, the Theater Münster is set to showcase productions of “L’elisir d’amore,” “Tristan und Isolde,” and “La Traviata,” among others.
