The Theater an der Wien is set to present “Isacco, figura del Redentore,” by the Viennese composer Marianna Martines.

The work will be performed as part of the Kammeroper series and will be directed by Eva-Maria Höckmayr with Chiara Cattani conducting.

The cast will include Christian Senn in the title role, Dennis Orellana, Sophie Gordeladze, Anle Gou, and Andjela Spaic.

Speaking with Gou, who will perform the role of Gamari, the singer said, “Gamari is vocally a truly challenging role. In its big aria,“’Dal gran peso ogni momento,’ it requires extreme coloratura. Despite Martines was close to the environment of Mozart Classicism, she highlights the Baroque singing stylistic features, especially the use of the agility to create a dramatic effect.”

“Isacco” will be performed between June 5 and 26, 2025.
