The Würth Group Announces Support for Salzburg Festival’s Youth Program

The Würth Group has announced its support of the Salzburg Festival’s Youth Program in 2022.

The youth program presents 54 performances and multiple school events which provide a wide range of programming for children and teenagers between May and August. Among those events will be the premiere of the children’s opera “Der Teufel mit den drei goldenene Haaren” by Stefan Johannes Hanke. That work is set to bow on July 29, 2022.

“The Festival is more than grateful for the Würth Group’s support of this endeavour which is so important to us and the future – to raise enthusiasm for the Salzburg Festival among young people. So far, children and teenagers have suffered most from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic; they deserve to experience music and the arts live, but also to test themselves and their artistic talent on stage. These experiences will remain with them for a long time, often lingering far into adult life. Thanks to the spontaneous willingness of Professor Würth and the faithful support from UNIQA and Raiffeisen Salzburg, we can once again offer a high-quality children’s and youth programme this summer,” said Festival President Dr. Kristina Hammer in an official press statement.

The Würth Group has been one of the most important supporters of the festival, helping present the Ouverture spirituelle concert series since 2018. Moreover, Reinhold Würth has been a major donor for several years.
