By David Salazar

The Thirteen will present Händel’s “Messiah” this holiday season.

The Choir and Orchestra, under Matthew Robertson, will present the iconic work on Dec. 20, 2025 at 4 p.m. at National City Christian Church in Washington D.C. and on Dec. 21, 2025 at 5 p.m. at Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church.

There will be a pre-concert talk with Charles King, author of “The Desperate Lives and Troubled Times that Made Händel’s ‘Messiah.'”

Per The Thirteen’s official website, “This program is made possible by a generous gift from Clint & Missy Kelly. The musicians of our orchestra are supported, in part, by a gift to The Thirteen’s Building for Tomorrow fund by Sue Berryman.”

Later this season, The Thirteen will present a Rachmaninoff program, a Bach concert, and another performance dedicated to Monteverdi.
