The Santa Fe Opera Announces Upcoming Musical Programs for All Ages

The Santa Fe Opera has announced upcoming musical programs in the communities of Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Truth or Consequences, and Roswell.

The offerings will be a mixture of new and returning activities suitable for all ages.

The series opens with “About ¡Voces Unidas!” in Santa Fe. Beginning February 27, the company will welcome musicians from Florida International University (FIU) for a week-long residency culminating in a free concert. The event features the Young Voices of the Santa Fe Opera alongside FIU musicians and vocalists in a flourishing creative and cultural exchange that began in early 2020.

Performance Date: March 4, 2023

The following performance will be “The Spring Tour” in Truth or Consequences and Roswell. The company will hit the road to southern New Mexico, with stops planned at the Ralph Edwards Civic Center in Truth or Consequences and at the Anderson Museum in Roswell.

Performance Dates: April 13 at Ralph Edwards Civic Center & April 15 at Anderson Museum

“The Opera Storytellers Summer Camp” in Santa Fe and Albuquerque will be for children entering 3rd through 6th grades in the 2023-2024 school year. In collaboration with the University of New Mexico Music Prep School, two week-long sessions are scheduled at The Santa Fe Opera and Popejoy Hall on the UNM Campus in Albuquerque.

When: June 5 – June 9, 2023, at The Santa Fe Opera & June 26–June 30 at UNM Center for the Arts
