
The Paris Opera Opens Auditions for New Choir School
By Afton MarkayThe Paris Opera has announced that auditions are open for its new choir school.
This children’s choir directed by Morgan Jourdain will receive training in music and the performing arts, which will include a specific curriculum in voice, movement, and theatrical expression. Training classes will take place at schools in the morning, then in the afternoon at the Paris Opera. The program is open to soprano and altos aged 11 and over, who wish to train in the performing arts.
The choir will participate in their own talent showcase, as well as in Palais Garnier and the Opéra Bastille productions throughout the 2026-27 season.
Applications for auditions will be accepted online on the Paris Opera website now through Jan. 21. Those who are selected to move on to the second round of audition will meet in person in March. The final round of auditions are also in person. These will be held on April 11, at the Opéra Bastille.
