The Orchestra of The Bronx to Perform Händel’s ‘Messiah’

The Orchestra of The Bronx is set to present Händel’s “Messiah” on Dec. 13, 2023.

The work will be performed by conductor Michael Spierman and The Bronx Opera Chorus. They will be joined by guest readers.

Texts will be selected from biblical sources by Charles Jennens, and delivered by members of the Bronx Community. Spierman has gathered a varied and distinguished roster to read short biblical passages. Among the roster are Vincent Amendola, Valerie Capers, Darcel D. Clark, Laurie Cumbo, Dionne Dauxy, Fernando Delgado, Daisy Cocco de Filippis, Hon. Jeffrey Dinowitz, Ilyssa Gillman, Benjamin Hoyer, Michael Max Knobbe, Gary Larkin, Henry Ovalles, Adriana Prela, Jason Regalado, Maurice Richard, Milton Santiago, Hon. Jose Marco Serrano, Ralph Scottino, Diane Strom, and Lloyd Ultan

The concert is set to be performed at the Lovinger Theater/Lehman College.
