The Opera Society to Honor Diana Soviero

The Opera Society, an affiliate organization of the Florida Grand Opera, will present the soprano Diana Soviero with its Dr. Arturo di Filippi Founder’s Award.

The award will be handed to Soviero on March 19, 2022 at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The award recognizes the outstanding individuals who through their generosity and dedication have contributed greatly to the success of the Florida Grand Opera in Broward and Dade Counties.

Soviero is a recognized opera singer who has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, Paris Opera, Royal Opera House, Teatro alla Scala, and Opernhaus Zurich. She is a recognized teacher who has worked with such artists as Kathryn Lewek, Christine Goerke, Michelle Bradley, and Jennifer Johnson Cano and is part of the faculty at Mannes School of Music. She served as co-artistic director of Florida Grand Opera’s Young Artist Program from 2016 until 2018.
