Famed actress Monica Bellucci is set to bring Maria Callas to life this November at the Studio Marigny in Paris.

The event, which is slated for Nov. 27, 2019, will feature the movie star reading excerpts of Tom Volf’s “Lettres et Mémoire” by the superstar soprano. Volf, of course, is the famed director of “Maria by Callas” who has dedicated the last few years of his life to compiling letters and writings by Callas. Per his own official website, he has already written three books dedicated to Callas including “Maria by Callas,” “Callas Confidential,” and “Maria Callas: Lettres et Mémoires.”

He also curated a “Maria by Callas” exhibition at La Seine Musicale in homage of the 40th anniversary of the soprano’s passing in 1977.

Bellucci has appeared in dozens of films, commencing with “Vita coi figli” in 1990. She has appeared in such films as “Bram Stoker’s Dracula,” “The Brothers Grimm,” “Napoleon and Me,” “Shoot ‘Em Up,” “The Matrix Revolutions,” “The Matrix Reloaded,” and “Spectre,” among others.
