
The Grange Festival Chair of the Board to Retire
By David SalazarThe Grange Festival has announced the retirement of Sir Richard Mantle OBE, who has been Chair of the Board since 2023.
Mantle will leave his post at the end of the 2026 Grange Festival, allowing sufficient time to find his successor and ensure a seamless transition. In the meantime, Malcolm Le May has been appointed as Deputy Chair and Chair of the Governance and Nominations Committee. He will lead the process for the appointment of Mantle’s successor.
“I feel privileged to have chaired The Grange Festival over this period and am delighted to have helped set it on a new trajectory and to further its success. ,” Mantle said per an official press release. “It has been hugely enjoyable. Tyler Stoops and his team are well placed to build on the success of the 2025 Festival and are putting together an exciting programme for 2026. I would particularly like to thank Lord and Lady Ashburton and my fellow Trustees for all their help and support and wish them well for the future.”
