The Dessoff Choirs to Present 2022 Holiday Concerts

The Dessoff Choirs is set to present a series of holiday concerts starting on Dec. 9, 2022.

“Welcome Yule: Mother & Child” will open at St. Paul the Apostle in Manhattan on Dec. 9, 2022 followed by a performance at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Brooklyn on Dec. 11, 2022. The Dec. 9 performance kicks off at 7 p.m. while the Sunday showcase is set to start at 4 p.m.

The program will feature music by John Francis Wade, Hans Leo Hassler, Thomas Tallis, Felix Mendelssohn, Gregg Smith, John Tavener, Evelyn Simpson-Cuerton, Franz Xaver Gruber, and Händel.

The ensemble recently presented a performance of “Messiah Sing” on Dec. 2 at the Union Theological Seminary in Manhattan.

The company will require proof of vaccination and masks will be required for all attendees.
